MYTHOLOGICAL GRYPHON
The Gryphon is a mythological animal with legendary head and eagle's wings and body of a lion. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of animals and birds eagle Queen, Griffin was considered an especially powerful and majestic creature.
The animal's name derives from the medieval Latin gryphus, derived by a common misspelling of the Latin classic grypus, from the Greek gryps, grypos, "curved aquiline nose," referring to the burner.
In antiquity, was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of treasures. According to the Greeks, guarded treasures in the Hyperborean country and the crater of Dionysos, full of wine to the mouth.
