I´ve participated in a very important workshop supervised by Marcelo Lafontanta from Lafontana Puppetry Company.
In this workshop we made and explore different puppetry styles, namely:
– Shadow puppetry;
– Toy theatre;
– Punch & Judy;
In each style we had the opportunity to build/craft the puppets, props and backgrounds and also to performance with each particular style.
And so, we were able to understand the differences in each style: constrains, performance issues, manipulation controllers, materials, and so on…
